I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of psychotherapy experience. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from American University in 1989 and my Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America in 1994. My postgraduate psychotherapy training experience includes the Washington School of Psychiatry’s Advanced Psychotherapy Training and Dynamics of Psychotherapy Training programs.
My experience includes providing treatment to adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, my experience includes extensive leadership and management positions in social service and behavioral health agencies. I am on faculty at The Washington School Of Psychiatry and have been a faculty member of Catholic University’s National Catholic School Of Social Service.
My practice is diverse. I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, traumatic events, and chronic illness with a special focus working with young adults, couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
As a psychotherapist, my goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of the challenges you face in order for us to find meaningful and lasting solutions. I am widely regarded as a compassionate and caring professional who is engaged and interactive in session.
I welcome your call, and I look forward to our work together.
