No Surprises Act 2022
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act requires health care providers to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges to those who are uninsured or those who do not wish to use their health insurance plan.
The “Good Faith Estimate” is provided to help you estimate the expected charges you may be billed for receiving psychotherapy services. During your initial phone consultation, I will review and explain your expected medical care costs.
Additional Information:
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to keep a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
